I'd Like A Bike

I’d Like A Bike is a new service that provides bikes for people who are financially struggling. This includes care leavers, refugees, and underprivileged families. We provide second-hand bikes so that people can get to work, school, or even just to enjoy leisure time exploring local greenways.

I’d Like a Bike is a subsidiary of I’d Like to Borrow. Both corporations are based at the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre. We currently have a dedicated repair team refurbishing donated bikes, but we are always looking for new volunteers to meet the demand for this project.

This project links in with Public Health who are supporting residents in Aylesbury town with bikes. The projects are working closely together to ensure anyone who would benefit from the use of a bike but cannot afford one, has the opportunity to do so.

How can you get involved?

  • Donate an adult or child bike to the project.
  • Donate your expertise and a few hours a month to the repair cafe to help make bikes usable and safe – if you’d like to volunteer apply here
  • If you need to use the project then please get in touch or if you know someone else who needs to use the project, please pass on our details.
